You specify what recording is carried out on each camera and the system can be configured to send images off site to a secure monitoring centre as soon as an activation occurs, whilst e-mailing you or sending an SMS text to your mobile phone. A unique feature of this system is that recording shows what happened to cause the alarm before and during as well as after a sensor is activated which shows exactly what caused the event. Searching through hours of video tape is laborious at best, searching through digital recordings is instant. Live verification of your premises can be carried out from anywhere in the world at any time you wish, giving you the ability to track an intruder's movements so that the police know exactly what to expect. You can even activate other devices remotely, perhaps setting off smoke canisters to detain an intruder longer until the police arrive.
